Welcome to the world of Shadows and Spurs, an alternate history wild west role playing game, where players will adventure across a new, recently discovered frontier. Battling undead horrors and monsters from beyond the cosmos. All the while trying to raise their gang's reputation and survive among the variety of strange landscapes in the dark frontier. 

The Game

Shadows and Spurs is a group tabletop pen and paper role-playing game, inspired by the 19th century American Midwest. To play, you will need some dice and a character sheet, though a Hexagonal battle map and tokens or miniatures can help enhance the game during combat sequences. Shadows and Spurs is refereed by a game master. The other players take control of characters who act as wild west folk surviving dark evil monsters and exploring the new frontier. They are neither a hero nor a villain, but someone who lives in shades of morally grey, just trying to get by in an almost lawless land.  The game is player-facing, which means only the players have to roll dice. 

What you can expect

 Encounters and battles against  supernatural beast and monsters. Squaring off against eldritch beings and old, dark gods. 

 A dangerous magic system, lethal combat and rules for fast, quick gunslinging. Utilise a d6 dice pool system to create explosive moments of storytelling

 Explore a Wild West setting that feels familiar, but hides dark secrets. with rules for hunting and camping.

 Engage in faction play, taking jobs for the guilds and orders on the new frontier

 A player-facing system which lets the GM focus on creating a rich atmosphere


What you will need

Dice: Shadows and Spurs is a d6 dice pool game. Meaning you will only need to use a six sided die, like those found in classic board games. Each player should have roughly 4 or 5 d6 as players will be rolling multiple at any given time.

Character sheet: These sheets provide a detailed overview of a player's character, including their attributes, skills, equipment, and abilities.

Group: 3-5 players and 1 GM
